How will you contribute?

CellaVision has a world-leading position in digital cell morphology. Fourier Ptychography Microscopy (FPM) is a novel microscopy technology that has the potential to combine a large field of view with high resolution and thereby enable new opportunities in diagnostic microscopy. The Computational Imaging team is the first of its kind at CellaVision and is specialized in developing products utilizing Fourier Ptychography Microscopy. At CellaVision, we use an agile approach where the team jointly takes responsibility for all new functionality - from algorithm development, implementation, code reviewing, testing and documentation. Rollen som testare innebär att man arbetar mycket med problemlösning så du kommer trivas i rollen om du gillar utmaningar och ser lösningar istället för problem. CellaVision is looking to strengthen the Hardware department with a new Software Engineer.
CellaVision develops advanced medical equipment with high requirements on reliability, accuracy, image quality and throughput. The analyzers are equipped with high resolution optics, precision mechanics and specialized image processing. The Hardware department consists of mechanical, software and electronics engineers, each contributing with their specific knowledge and cooperate in solving interdisciplinary problems and turning ideas into products.
The Software Engineers in the Hardware Department areresponsible for developing and maintaining the embedded software, PC software and electronics for the analyzers and accessories. Both teams have responsibilities in testing analyzers and software according to applicable international laws and standards, and in transferring designs to production.
This is an excellent opportunity for you who want to participate in the whole development process of medical devices while working in an international environment where quality, development and innovation are constantly in focus.

Key tasks of the role
Develop and maintain FPGA-based embedded systems, both with Linux and bare metal.
Develop and maintain PC software for controlling the embedded systems.
Develop and maintain applications for production, test and calibration.
Test and conduct investigations of products and prototypes.
Participate in the design of systems using a combination of PC software, embedded software, electronics, mechanics and optics.
Review designs, reports and source code contributions from colleagues.

To be successful in the role you need to have
M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent.

How will you contribute?

As a Scientific Affairs Software Engineer will be a part of our Scientific Affairs team. Scientific Affairs is a small, highly committed, and dynamic cross-disciplinary team, with the vision of introducing new dimensions and solutions into digital microscopy. As a part of this team, you need to prepare yourself for rapid changes, working with diverse tasks of all kinds (big and small) and to get a hint of the future of digital morphology.

As a Scientific Affairs Software Engineer you will:

- Develop prototype applications in new areas as well as further develop our existing applications using your knowledge in C++ and C#/.NET.

- Develop tools used for investigations in either Python, C++ or C#/.NET.

- Build prototypes intended to be used in presentations, as marketing input to product development and to be used in CellaVision’s scientific research.

- Assist with prototype testing in-house as well as at customer sites.

- Investigate new technologies and possibilities for our new and existing products.

- Develop specifications for new products and functionalities together with the Scientific Affairs team.

What will you bring?

- You have a master's degree in applied Mathematics or equivalent education.

- You have three or more years of proven experience of developing software, preferably windows applications in C++ and C#/.Net and experience working with Git.

- You have experience with deep learning, image analysis or artificial intelligence in general. Knowledge of super resolution and generative networks for images is meriting.

- You are proficient in English language (spoken and written).

- You are innovative, committed, interested in trying and testing new ideas and solutions and have an open-minded personality.

- You are capable of independently organize and prioritize your work; at the same time, you also enjoy working as part of a closely knit team.

- You are used to taking a large amount of responsibility for your work, and when obstacles come your way, you feel comfortable finding new ways to solve the problem. You see opportunities where others see limitations.

How will you contribute?

As a member of an Applications team, you will develop algorithms and software for our analyzers that automatically locate and pre-classify cells. Working together in the Application team, you will specialize in programming and digital image processing, used in our software to automatically detect, and classify cells and other objects in blood and body fluids. You will contribute to our entire development process, from algorithm development, implementation, code reviews and documentation, to the creation and execution of tests.

As a Software Engineer you will:

- Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications for lab personnel, using C# and WPF.

- Develop and maintain backend services for coordinating access to databases and connecting labs, using C++ and .

- Participate in the design of distributed systems using a combination of desktop applications, web applications, and backend services, that will be deployed and run on the customers own data centers.

- Perform troubleshooting and testing as part of the quality work.

- Conduct investigations and research tasks.

- Review designs, reports, and source code contributions from colleagues.
