We work cross functionally and collaborate with many functions in our organization on a daily basis. What does an Electronics designer do at the New Business Access Control Solutions department?
As an electronics designer, you are involved from the first product idea to global launch. You have a broad role, and in addition to being responsible for the electronics design, you work with schematic design, component selection, testing & verification, production support but also certifications.

Product development is conducted in cross-functional project teams. Disciplines you will have close contact with are product managers, project managers, PCB CAD, software, mechanics, UX, sourcing, quality, tech writers, etc.

Examples of technologies you will get in contact with are, analog and digital electronics, audio & video design, power and PoE, high speed interfaces (Ethernet, USB, LVDS etc.), RF/antennas, displays etc. To ensure the quality of our products, you will also design and test for EMC and electrical safety.

As many of the products we are developing, are new to us or the market, you will be able to make good use of your creative side. To further stimulate innovation, we spend 10% of our working time on what we call "Free Fridays", where each employee is free to use this time for learning, developing their own ideas and general innovation.

Who are you?
You are a passionate Electronics Designer with a genuine interest in technology and a relevant experience in electronics. You possess a university/college education. It is an advantage if you master electronics CAD tools like, Expedition or PADS and feel comfortable in designing both digital and analogue electronics.

You are used to developing complete products, from idea to volume production, and preferably in the area of consumer electronics. You are used to working in teams and comfortable in taking a leading role.

We are now looking to appoint a summer worker for the Detector group in the NSS (Neutron Scattering System) division.

The Detector group is responsible for design, production, assembly, testing, installation, commission, reparation, and maintenance of the detectors and the peripheral systems. Now, the Detector group is expanding in its capacity to receive detector systems from ESS In-Kind partners as well as to produce ESS own detector systems for the delivery of ESS’ first 16 instruments.

As an Electrical Technician - summer worker your main tasks will be as followings:


• Produce, assemble, and test electronics for detector systems
• Support assembly and reparation work for detector systems

About you

A suitable background for this position would be:


• Completed the El- och energiprogrammet or currently enrolled in a post?secondary program in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (e.g., university or technical institute).
• Having practical experience in electrical or electronics work, such as soldering, cable manufacturing, or assembly of electrical/electronic components.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• Minimum age 18 years.

Duration and location

This is a summer work position of 3 months.

Vad kommer du att göra?
Mekanisk inkoppling av våra nyckelkomponenter samt utföra högspänningstester på maskiner efter uppkoppling.
Säkerställa att en säker in- och urkoppling av maskiner efterlevs.
Programmera testutrustningen för specifika maskiner.
Planering av dagliga och veckovisa aktiviteter som testunderhåll samt stöttning till tekniksidan och löpande avstämning med gruppledare kring status.
Leda och fördela arbetet för de personer som jobbar inom testhallen HP.
Övervaka och dokumentera testförloppet utifrån framtagen mall och orderunika specifikationer, för att vid leverans säkerställa att maskinen uppfyller uppsatta krav så som funktion, montage, flöde, tryck mm.
Verka för att följa och se till att uppdatera framtagna rutiner och arbetssätt inom områden som säkerhet, kvalité och maskinunika specifikationer. Verka för att tester och resurser följs och utnyttjas effektivt, samt att fel eller förluster lyfts och loggas.
Säkerställa att arbetet utförs i en säker arbetsmiljö och att de säkerhetsrutiner som finns efterlevs i det dagliga arbetet. Involverad i det förbättringsarbete som hela tiden pågår i verksamheten.


När du inte testar så kommer du att supportera andra delar av verksamheten med bl.a. montagearbete, kabeldragning och andra typer av tester. Teamet är ett självgående och sammansvetsat team, där alla bidrar med sina styrkor för att nå de uppsatta målen och förbättra den redan höga nivån på levererat arbete.


Vem är du?
Vi söker dig som har en el-utbildning. Elektrikerutbildning i grunden ses som en klar fördel, erfarenhet från högspänningstest (HS-test) är meriterande. En ångutbildning är inget krav men ses som meriterande, precis som att kunna tala och förstå engelska. Du är väl insatt i vilka risker det medför att arbeta i labb/testmiljö med starkström, samt vilka regler och säkerhetsåtgärder som skall efterlevas utifrån gällande lagstiftning.

Som person är du noggrann och och systematisk, då du tillsammans med teamet ansvarar för kvalitén på det arbete som utförs. Du är kreativ och har en god förmåga att lösa problem och att tänka i nya banor, vilket syns i din vilja att jobba med ständiga förbättringar. About the role:

As we continue our transition into Steady State Operations, ESS is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Leader to lead our Electrical Power Systems (EPS) Group. The EPS Group is part of our Accelerator Division and is responsible for the specialised power supplies and modulators supplying klystrons, tetrodes and the normal conducting magnets. The Group Leader will also support other groups in the Accelerator Division regarding other power supplies and auxiliaries – and will provide advice on all aspects of electrical engineering and power distribution. 

Day-to-day, you will: 


• Plan, organise, and oversee the work and assignments for the Group. 
• Foster a collaborative environment which provides support, guidance, and development opportunities for staff members.
• Articulate a vision for the group and follow up with strategic guidance to ensure that everyone in the group can deliver at the highest possible level.
• Conduct the annual performance management and development process – including salary setting and negotiation – for your direct reporting team members.
• Deliver electrical engineering support to ensure assure high availability of accelerator components and subsystems. 
• Provide expert advice on electrical engineering and power distribution for the accelerator including EMI related issues. 
• Identify and implement effective solutions to safely perform the group’s work.  
• Support the Accelerator Division Management on the planning and execution of the sub-project.  
• Perform maintenance and shutdown work for the accelerator. 
• Plan and execute agreed support for other ESS sub-projects. 
• Manage contracts for supporting functions. 

This is a permanent, full-time position based on-site at the ESS campus in Lund, Sweden. 

About you: 

For this role, we are seeking an experienced, motivated leader with a technical and strategic mindset who can manage a diverse and multidisciplinary group whilst inspiring collaboration and high performance. Your expertise and experience in engineering within electrical systems, and technical project management make you highly suited to this role. Prior experience of line managing a team of engineers and technical experts will be a definite advantage should you wish to take on this new opportunity.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you need to have a higher university degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent education in combination with relevant experience. Experience from technical work performed at a large accelerator installation or infrastructure project would be a definite advantage. 

Being a line manager involves being able to articulate a vision and a strategy for the group that you will lead. Therefore, prior experience of strategic planning and of developing psychologically safe workplaces is very important. You need the proven ability to create an environment where all team members can experience success.  

We attach great importance to personality and attitude, so we are looking for someone with the excellent communication and interpersonal skills that are vital for effective collaboration with a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and technical staff within a multidisciplinary team. The working language of ESS is English, but the ability to speak Swedish or another European language would be beneficial.

Hantera dagliga mätvärden och genomföra nätavräkning för el, gas och fjärrvärme.


Följa upp fälttjänster kopplat till uppsättning och nedtagning av mätare.


Hantera kundärenden.


Säkerställa att avräkning och rapportering sker enligt gällande regelverk.


Identifiera, analysera och åtgärda saknade mätvärden.


Validera och kvalitetssäkra mätvärden inför fakturering.


Analysera fel och korrigera i affärssystemet efter avvikelser.

Kvalifikationer
Skall-krav

Arbetslivserfarenhet från en liknande roll eller eftergymnasial utbildning inom energi eller elkraft (även nyexaminerad ingenjör).


Flytande svenska i tal och skrift.


Goda kunskaper i MS Excel.


Bör-krav

However, you will not be responsible for the layout design or the firmware development.

In the role as an Electronics Engineer, you will also:

What you'll do here as Quality Assurance Engineer
Axis is growing in line with our projects. To maintain our high quality, we place great importance on our testing activities. We need more experienced and hungry colleagues who can help drive our exciting projects forward.
Your task will be to ensure the quality of what is delivered together with developers. Testing is done at the feature level and includes both manual and automatic methods, using scripted as well as exploratory techniques.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is truly passionate about testing and quality and wants to take the next step in their development. As a person, you are responsible, curious, and unpretentious with good social skills. These qualities are a good basis for creating good collaborations with developers and other teams within Axis. The role of a testing engineer involves a lot of freedom and independence, which requires you to be proactive and take your own initiatives.
We would like you to have
Knowledge of network communication and TCP/IP
Linux skills
Ability to develop tools/scripts that facilitate testing
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering, or equivalent

What you'll do here as a Data Analyst:
Your mission is to provide analytics solutions for the Operations department and our global supply chain. You will bridge the gap between raw data and business action, leveraging data from Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Sourcing, and Environment & Sustainability to improve customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will:
Lead the development of analytics solutions from the initial business request through to technical implementation and maintenance.
Act as a project member in strategic, cross-functional transformation initiatives, providing data expertise and analysis
Work closely with the Operations Development and IT teams to develop our analytics capabilities and strengthen our data foundation for future use cases.
Plan, define, and maintain scalable data sets and drive continuous improvement in how we approach analytics as an organization.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

We'd love to hear that you have/are:
B.Sc. in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, CS, or Supply Chain). M.Sc. preferred.
4+ years in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Warehousing, specifically supporting Supply Chain functions within a global organization.
Comfortable with writing complex queries and optimize performance for large datasets (bonus points for columnar databases like ClickHouse).
Working knowledge of dbt (or similar transformation tools) to build scalable data pipelines.
Proficiency in Power BI, Apache Superset or similar enterprise BI tools.
Proficient with Git workflow (branching, PRs, merges) in a collaborative environment.
Demonstrated ability to partner with global stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions.

What you'll do here as Software developer?

Most of the code reside in Linux user space and we rely on HTTP based APIs, MQTT, async code, and many other technologies. If you happen to know any of these that's a great start. Most of your days will include one or more of the following:

You will be part of Axis OS Connected services team. We are responsible for multimedia streaming and system access functionality in AXIS OS, which primarily targets the cloud connected systems. The developers work in small agile teams in close collaboration with internal and external partners. Our goal is to offer high-quality, low-latency media streaming while ensuring that we build cyber-secure solutions. We are now looking for a talented software developer joining our development for media streaming. Our streaming services are part of our device platform and is an enabler for both Axis and Partner connected solutions.

What you'll do here as Software Developer?
As a software developer in Axis OS connected services team, you will join the part of the team who are enabling new cloud storage technologies for Axis cameras. This includes packaging of video, audio, and analytics data, and delivering it in a smart and robust way to the cloud. This is a relatively new technology area in our industry where we continuously develop and explore new solutions. We incorporate open-source components such as Linux, GStreamer and ffmpeg and actively contribute to the community. Our team work with several different languages, primarily C/C++, Rust and Go.
You will be involved in all parts of the development, from design to implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring, in close collaboration with our technology partners.

Your responsibilities and your main tasks will include:

Developing new media streaming and storage features for cloud connected cameras

Designing, threat modelling, programming, reviewing and testing

Sharing the knowledge and competence with other teams and colleagues


Who are we looking for?
