Who is your future team?
You'll lead one of four highly skilled and agile software development teams within Safe City Solutions, focusing on Body Worn Applications such as our In-Car solution, mobile apps, and content management. What you'll do:
As Engineering Manager for the Body Worn Application team, you will:

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading and inspiring a talented team of developers and DevOps professionals. Together, you will drive the development of our in-car products, mobile apps, and content offload solutions. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you will work closely with other Body Worn managers and Product Management to shape a seamless end-to-end solution.

Beyond technical leadership, you will foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning, ensuring that every team member feels supported and motivated. Through coaching, constructive feedback, and clear goal setting, you will empower the team to perform at their best while also prioritizing their well-being. Additionally, you will handle key management responsibilities such as recruitment, development talks, salary reviews, and budgeting, ensuring the team has the resources and support needed to thrive.

As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a full-stack team of 10-20 software engineers, all located in Sweden, working in an agile DevOps model. What you'll do here as a Mechanical Engineer
In your role, you will have daily collaboration with other mechanical designers, electronics designers, industrial designers, product owners and more. The daily work as a Mechanical Engineer can be anything from creating new concepts, designing mechanical solutions, testing, building prototypes and discussing use cases with people from different disciplines within the company.

As you will have great responsibility for the development of new products, often from the early idea stage to a finished product, it also means a great deal of cooperation with the implementation of the product in volume production. Here we work together with quality engineers, production technicians, suppliers, and more.

Who are you?
You have at least 2 years' experience from product development. You are driven and positive in your daily work. Experience from injection molding, die casting and sheet metal design is highly valued and will be used in your daily work. Experience with 3D CAD (preferably Creo) is an advantage.

What does a Mechanics designer do at the New Business Access Control Solutions department?
As a mechanical designer, You have a broad role and will be involved from the first product idea to the global launch of the product. In addition to detailed mechanical design, you will also work with feasibility studies, concept development, manufacturability, testing & verification and support in volume production and certifications. Since product development is conducted in cross-functional project teams, you will have close contact with product owners, project managers, electronics, industrial design, UX, sourcing, software, quality, tech writers etc.

Examples of technologies you will encounter are:

* Die casting of Aluminum
* Injection molding of plastics
* Optics
* Audio
* RF/antennas
* Displays

Our products comply to the highest quality and performance standards, because of the harsh environment they are subjected to. This is why you will also design for vandal, water/dust ingress and corrosion protection requirements.

Who are you?
You are a passionate product developer with a genuine interest in technology. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in this field, with a university degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. You master 3D modeling and mechanical design for both plastics and metal. You are used to developing complete products, from idea to volume production. You are familiar with working in teams where you take a leading role. Having experience in consumer electronics development is a significant asset.

This includes product, service and roadmap management for device capabilities, device management, software and end-to-end solutions. In addition, we offer the regions project sales support and partner interface in technical and connected strategic matters. End-to-End Solutions is one out of four groups within Solution Management. The End-to-End Solutions team has global product management responsibility for Axis End-to-End Solutions for Surveillance and Security. It manages the entire life cycle of our solutions - from strategic planning to tactical activities, go to market, and maintenance. This new position will be part of the End-to-End Solutions team, but its scope is broader, focusing on the complete customer experience with Axis solutions and products, spanning awareness, demonstration, design, purchase, operation, and maintenance through all phases of the devices and solutions.

What will you do?
In this unique role, you will empower Axis' product management and R&D teams with valuable insights into the customer experience across the entire products and solution lifecycle. Your primary objective is to structure and document knowledge about customer personas, use cases, customer journeys, and user environments, enabling informed decision-making and innovative solution development. Your role will be key in the UX structure within the company and through your anchoring within Solution and Product Management you can ensure an aligned objective and outcome.

Examples of key tasks and responsibilities in this role include:

* Supporting user experience awareness and knowledge within product management and R&D work closely with R&D and their UX design structure.
* Develop content (training materials, videos, documents, etc.) showcasing how our solutions and products are used by partners and end-customers.
