ScanMarine is a contracting company within the marine industry. Their projects vary from smaller restoration and repair projects of the interior design on ships, to complete interior decor packages for newly produced passenger-, and cruise ships. Their clients are shipping companies and shipyards all around the world.
EMPLOID is assisting ScanMarine in their recruitment process in helping them find a project engineer with ambitions to take on a project management position over time to strengthen the project organization. You will be stationed in ScanMarine’s new headquarters in Eslöv, Sweden. ScanMarine offers an attractive and broad position in a company with opportunities for development. You will initially be employed as a consultant through EMPLOID, with great possibilities to get hired by ScanMarine thereafter.

You will, as project engineer, initially be involved-, and support project managers in projects all over the world. You will follow the project managers into the field so as to gain a better understanding of how the work is done, support in material and decor tendering, become acquainted with the suppliers, assist with bids and calculations, attend meetings, and gain a closer understanding of the preparations of the projects. As you gradually learn the work you will take on responsibility for smaller projects and step into the role as project manager where you have full responsibility for the whole process in relation to quality and deadlines.
Example of tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the project managers through the process
- In time take on responsibility and lead small as well as major projects
- Contact with clients, suppliers, and workers
At times the position will entail a significant number of travels, and you will be required to be able to leave at a short notice when needed.
You have a degree in civil engineering within electrical engineering, design, industrial economy, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree. If you lack a degree in engineering, but can through work life experience demonstrate comparable competences it will be regarded as a degree in engineering. You are fluent in English, both in written and spoken word. Furthermore, it is important with:
- Knowledge in Auto CAD
- Driver’s license B
- An interest in the marine industry is meritorious
- Experience of similar roles is meritorious
- Skills in Swedish is meritorious

You are flexible, and understand that it is of utmost importance that your work and projects get done on time. Therefore, you can easily adapt to existing as well as altered conditions. You take responsibility for your work, and can independently move your projects ahead according to deadlines. You value teamwork with your colleagues, and support them whenever you can. In order to learn and acquire necessary skills, you understand that you will need to take initiative and be hungry for new knowledge.
