What you’ll do


• Teardowns and device preparation for measurements and/or documentation
• Cooperate with internal experts as well as external suppliers of reverse engineering
• Black box testing 
• Documenting and analysing test results
• Creative problem solving 
• Create test setups and methods to perform hands-on measurements involving different devices and measurement equipment, for instance:
* Base station simulators and base stations
* Oscilloscopes and logic analysers
* RF testing equipment
* Power analysers




What we’re looking for


* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education.
* 4+ years of hands-on work testing electronic devices in a product development lab.
* Comfortable using test instruments, scripting, and data logging.
* Broad mobile phone R&D experience, including knowledge of 4G LTE & 5G NR.
* Solid board-level hardware understanding and familiarity with test-related software tools.
* Experience in black-box testing, attention to detail, and strong documentation skills.
* Collaborative, communicative, and able to work independently.
* Basic understanding or interest in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) is looking for a Radio ASIC System Lead to strengthen the Radio Architecture organization within Radio System and Technology (RST). In this role, you will drive Radio ASIC requirements and product architecture studies within PEU Radio. The work is mainly done in early phases.

• Drive and deliver ASIC System Requirement Specification and ASIC System Implementation Specification as input to Ericsson Silicon Program
• Technical driver of Radio ASIC and Radio Product architecture studies

About this opportunity:
Hardware Engineering is one of three Engineering Units in Business Area Networks, responsible for the end-to-end development for our Radios and Transport products, including ASIC and FPGA development, as well as optimization of coordinated software development flows.
Product Engineering Unit Radio is a unit within HW Engineering, largely based on today’s PDU Radio, responsible for development, release, maintenance and quality assurance of Ericsson Radio Portfolio. Further, PEU Radio is responsible to secure technology for future platforms and products, including technology strategy and specification of components, modules and ASICs that future products will be based upon. Performing the responsibilities of PEU Radio will be done with tight collaboration within HW Engineering Unit in general and with PEU Silicon and PEU Radio Unit Software in particular.

Radio Product Sweden is the organization within Product Engineering Unit Radio that are responsible for all Radio product development in Sweden including the responsibility for the most advanced and largest projects in which we introduce our new digital ASIC’s and set the product architecture for our next Radio product generation.

This exciting opportunity involves leading multiple areas simultaneously, with a focus on driving the project development of highly technical teams across all stages, from inception to completion. You will be at the helm of a large-scale project, leading teams of 200 to 1,000 cross-functional members. This scope will require not only excellent organizational skills but also an ability to foster collaboration across diverse disciplines and business functions.
